The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Nadi Basket (13-4) in Staoueli on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by sixth ranked Mouloudia (11-7) 71-69. orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Mohamed Bensalah answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds for Nadi Basket. Mouloudia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with USM Alger. Nadi Basket lost third consecutive game. Defending champion still keeps top position with four games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Widad (12-6) against twelfth ranked US Setif (5-13) on Tuesday night. Visiting Widad was defeated by US Setif in Setif 80-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Widad. stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Makram Benchouche chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. US Setif's coach Abdesslem Djeroudi used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tarek Hamdani responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. US Setif maintains twelfth place with 5-13 record. Widad at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between CR Dar Beida (9-9) and CSC Djasr (8-10), which took place in Constantine. 8th ranked CR Dar Beida lost to eleventh ranked CSC Djasr in a road game 45-52 on Tuesday. Moussa Bougria nailed 14 points and 5 steals for the winning side. Younes Benanesbaghor came up with 8 points and 16 rebounds for CR Dar Beida in the defeat. CSC Djasr moved-up to tenth place. Loser CR Dar Beida keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with USM Blida.

In the last two games of round 17 USM Alger beat Moustakbal on the road 72-60. USM Blida won against CR Beni Saf on its own court 89-80.
The most impressive performance of 17th round was 23 points and 10 rebounds by Mohamed Boudoumi of USM Blida.



Moustakbal - USM Alger 60-72

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked USM Alger (11-7) beat bottom-ranked Moustakbal (3-15) in Ouled Chbel 72-60 on Tuesday. USM Alger had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when USM Alger made 7 blocks. Laamouri Merahi nailed 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Redouane Mimouni accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds. Abdelmalek Kaci came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Ahmed Allali added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Moustakbal in the defeat. USM Alger have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mouloudia. Moustakbal lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 15 games lost.
