Hezil Yamame claims Algerian D1 weekly honour

Hezil Yamame put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Sportif Communal Djasr Constantine and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The had a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out US Setif (#13, 2-11) 70-69. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. CSC Djasr is placed at 10th position in Algerian D1. CSC Djasr is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. In the team's last game Yamame had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be CSC Djasr's top player in his first season with the team. Yamame has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.4ppg) and rebounds (2nd best: 12.5rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Ahmed Allali (199-F-1995) of Moustakbal Ouled Chebel. Allali impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Moustakbal was edged by the higher-ranked CR Dar Beida (#8, 7-6) 61-60. Moustakbal is still second from the bottom in the standings. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Moustakbal managed to get this year. Allali is a newcomer at Moustakbal and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was Sid Benzaime (203-C-2002) of Rouiba Club Basket (#4). Benzaime scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Rouiba, leading his team to a 69-64 win against the lower-ranked NA Hussein Dey (#14, 1-12). Rouiba needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 5 lost games. Benzaime has a great season in Algeria. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (3rd best).
