The most interesting game of round 12 was only two-point a home defeat of 8th ranked USM Blida (6-6) to seventh ranked Rouiba (7-5) 66-64. Strangely USM Blida outrebounded Rouiba 48-36 including 35 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and who added 13 points and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Mousaab Kaoub with 13 points and 7 rebounds. USM Blida's coach Ahmed Ben Djabou tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Rouiba have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Widad. USM Blida at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with USM Alger and CR Dar Beida. Rouiba is looking forward to face bottom-ranked NA Hussein Dey (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. USM Blida will play against Widad (#6) in Boufarik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Tlemcen. Second ranked Chabab Sportif (9-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Widad (7-5) 68-67 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Widad. The winners were led by who scored that evening 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Nizar Taleb supported him with 18 points. Even a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds by Djamel Achache did not help to save the game for Widad. Chabab Sportif have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Nadi Basket. Widad at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Rouiba. Chabab Sportif will play against Mouloudia (#4) in Alger in the next round. Widad will play at home against USM Blida and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked US Setif managed to get a second victory, breaking the nine-game losing streak on Friday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked NA Hussein Dey 75-71. The best player for the winners was Salim Daifallah who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Nabil Saidi who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. US Setif (2-10) moved-up to thirteenth place. NA Hussein Dey lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. US Setif will meet at home higher ranked CSC Djasr (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. NA Hussein Dey will play against Rouiba and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 12: Mouloudia won against Taradji Amel on the opponent's court 85-81. CR Dar Beida unfortunately lost to USM Alger in a home game 59-66. Moustakbal recorded a loss to CR Beni Saf on the road 61-75. CSC Djasr lost to defending champion Nadi Basket on its own court 66-84.

USM Alger made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 CR Dar Beida turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when USM Alger made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Laamouri Merahi who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Redouane Mimouni chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four USM Alger players scored in double figures.
