Mohamed Sahraoui claims Algerian D1 Hoops Agents weekly honour

International Forward Mohamed Sahraoui (193-F-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for Widad Boufarik and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 29-year old forward had the game-high 30 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Widad in his team's victory, helping them to outclass CR Dar Beida (#8, 5-5) with 41-point margin 82-41. Widad maintains the 5th position in Algerian D1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Widad will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Sahraoui had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Widad's top player in his first season with the team. Sahraoui has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.8ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Mohamed Touati (215-C-1987) of Mouloudia Club of Algiers. Touati impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Mouloudia lost that game 67-73 to slightly lower-ranked CR Beni Saf (#4, 6-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Mouloudia still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Touati is a newcomer at Mouloudia and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was international swingman Abdesslem Dekkiche (194-G/F-1986) of Union Sportifs Medina Blida (#6). Dekkiche showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of USM Blida, leading his team to a 71-62 win against the lower-ranked US Setif (#14, 1-9). USM Blida needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Dekkiche has a great season in Algeria. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (5th best). He also has 2.8spg and a FGP of 50.6%.
