Algerian D1 round 9 best performance: Hichem Dekakene (by Hoops Agents)

Hichem Dekakene

International Guard Hichem Dekakene (190-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Nadi Basket Staoueli, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat US Setif (#14, 1-9) 107-102. It allowed Nadi Basket to consolidate first place in the Algerian D1. Nadi Basket has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Dekakene had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. It's his second year at Nadi Basket and it's hard to imagine this team without him. He was a key player of CSC Djasr, leading his team to a 72-70 win against the higher-ranked Mouloudia (#3, 7-3). CSC Djasr needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Guezout has a great season in Algeria. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (2nd best). He also has 1.7bpg and a FGP of 57.1%.
