Mekdad re-signs at Toulouse

Samir Mekdad

Toulouse Basket Club (NM1) confirmed in their roster experienced 37-year-old double-passport holder Algeria point guard Samir Mekdad (191cm-1986) for the 2024-25 season. He has played there for the last two seasons.
Nine years ago, he represented Algeria at the Afrobasket Championship in Rades (Tunisia). During this event, he averaged 5 points per game and had 5 rebounds per game.
Mekdad has played previously in France between ALM Evreux, Berck, La Rochelle, Etendard de Brest, and STB Le Havre, and during Algeria with WA Boufarik.
Among many awards, he played in the final of the French NM1 Play-Offs in 2019. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 Honorable Mention back in 2019. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Toulouse.
