Nael Yahiatene is a newcomer at Avignon/Pontet

US Avignon/Pontet Basket (NM1) added 19-year-old Algeria forward Nael Yahiatene (185cm-2005) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. He is the second foreign player on the team, with DR Congolese Ruphin Kayembe signing earlier. Yahiatene played for Lille Metropole Basket Red Giants in ProA U21 for the last two years, but his team was relegated to NM2. In two ProB games, he did not score.
He represented Algeria at the African Championship U16 in Cairo (Egypt) three years ago. His team won Bronze and he averaged 2 ppg.
