Al Fateh Al Hasa (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old Algerian ex-international forward Mohamed Harat (198cm-1990) for season 2022-23. Harat is the second import player in the roster as USA Roderick Camphor signed here earlier.
It is actually his comeback to Al Hasa as he has played here before. He played most recently at Al Ittihad in Syrian SBL league. In 22 games he was league's second best scorer with impressive 29.1ppg and had 14.9rpg (#3 in the league) and 3.4apg last season. Harat helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. He also played for Al Fateh in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 22 games he was league's second best scorer with remarkable 29.1ppg and recorded 14.9rpg (#3 in the league), 3.4apg and 1.6spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL 2nd Team and League Player of the Week (3 times). Harat also spent pre-season at Al Shamal (D1) in Qatari league.
He was also a member of Algerian international program for some years. Harat played for Algerian Senior National Team between 2011 and 2020 and previously for U18 National Team in 2008.
He represented Algeria at the Afrobasket Championship in Rades (Tunisia) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 16.9ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 57.6%, FT: 67.7%.
Harat is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Bahrain (Al-Manama), Morocco, Algeria (GS Petroliers) and Qatar (Al Rayyan and Al Arabi).
