Mohamed Harat
Mohamed Harat
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Mohamed Harat (198-90, currently plays in Saudi Arabia). He led Al Fateh to a victory over the tenth-ranked Al Nahda (2-10) 84-68 in the Saudi Arabian SBL in Friday night's game. Harat was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 41 points and getting 14 rebounds. Harat also added 3 assists in 35 minutes on the court. Al Fateh Al Hasa (7-5) is placed sixth in the SBL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Harat's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Harat averages: 29.3ppg, 15.0rpg, 3.8apg, 2.3spg, 2FGP: 66.0%(128-194), 3FGP: 26.1% and FT: 69.6% in 12 games he played so far. Former Groupe Sportif Petroliers Alger starter played for the Algerian senior national team one years ago.

Touhami Ghezzoul

#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international center Touhami Ghezzoul (209-87, college: N.Dakota St., currently plays in Saudi Arabia). He could not help Al Salam (4-8) in their last game on Friday. Despite Ghezzoul's very good performance Al Salam was defeated 75-64 on the road by the higher-ranked Ohod (#3). He recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 13 rebounds. Ghezzoul's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Ghezzoul has very high stats. He averages: 18.8ppg, 15.0rpg, 2.0bpg, 2FGP: 54.0% and FT: 77.8%. Ghezzoul played for the Algerian national team in 2019.

He also added 7 passes in 31 minutes. This year Sahraoui's total stats are: 8.4ppg, 2.2rpg and 5.3apg in 15 games. He has a dual citizenship: Algerian and French. Sahraoui used to play for the Algerian national team back in 2015.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Algerian passport:

#1. Amine Bensaleh (201-F, currently plays in NAIA) led Wayland Baptist University to an easy victory against the Calvary University (10-6) crushing them 105-39 in the NAIA in Tuesday night's game. Bensaleh recorded 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Wayland Baptist University has 0-2 record this season. There are only four games left until the end of the NAIA Regular Season.
