Here is the weekly review of the top performing Algerian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Mohamed Harat (198-90, currently plays in Saudi Arabia). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Al Fateh (0-1) in their last game. Despite Harat's very good performance Al Fateh lost 66-81 at home to the higher-ranked (#8) Al Ittihad. He had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 16 rebounds in 40 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Al Fateh this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Harat's first year with the team. Former Groupe Sportif Petroliers Alger starter played for the Algerian senior national team one years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former U16 international shooting guard Ilian Nessaibia (183-3, currently plays in Switzerland). Nessaibia led Pully to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Baeren (0-2) crushing them 97-54 in the Swiss NLB (second division) last Saturday. He scored 12 points. Pully Basket Foxes (0-2) are placed seventh in the NLB. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Nessaibia averages: 10.0ppg, 2.5apg, 2FGP: 77.8%. He has a dual citizenship: Algerian and French. Nessaibia played for the Algerian U16 national team in 2019.

   #3. The Algerian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard Nadyr Labouize (187-97, currently plays in France). He was not able to help Andrezieux (3-2) in their last game. Despite Labouize's good performance the fourth-placed Andrezieux (3-2) lost 56-61 on their home court in Andrezieux to the leading SO Maritime Boulogne in the Group B. He was the top scorer with 13 points in 28 minutes. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Labouize's overall stats are: 6.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 64.7%(11-17), 3FGP: 6.7% and FT: 75.0% in five games he played so far. He played for the Algerian national team two years ago.

   #4. Forward Mohand Ammad (193-3, currently plays in France) managed to help Etoile Angers Basket in a victory against the fifth-ranked Vitre (3-2) crushing them 82-56 in the French NM1 (third division) last Tuesday. He recorded only 3 points in 4 minutes on the court. in Group A. Etoile Angers Basket (5-0) is placed first. So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Ammad's first year with the team. This season Ammad averages just 2.5ppg in two games. He used to play for the Algerian U16 national team back in 2019.

Former international point guard Faycal Sahraoui (190-79, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Vendee Challans (1-4) 94-79 in the French NM1 (third division) on Friday night. Sahraoui scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 9 assists. in Group A. Toulouse Basket Club (3-1) is placed fourth. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Sahraoui has relatively good stats this season: 11.0ppg, 2.4rpg and 6.2apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Algerian and French. Sahraoui used to play for the Algerian national team six years ago.


One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Algerian passport:

   #1. Jamal Tahraoui (199-F-95, college: USAO, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Carbajosa (0-2) crushing them 108-74 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Saturday night's game. Tahraoui scored 7 points. in group West. Melilla Sport Capital Enrique Soler (2-1) is placed second. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Tahraoui's first year with the team. This season he averages only 3.5ppg. Tahraoui has a dual citizenship: British and Algerian. Despite his Algerian passport, Tahraoui previously played for the British U18 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Algerian team.
