Mohamed Harath
Mohamed Harath
#1. This week's number one is former international forward Mohamed Harath (198-90, currently plays in Asia Champions Cup). He could not help Al Shamal (1-2) in their last game. Despite Harath's very good performance Al Shamal lost 88-94 on the road to the lower-ranked (#3) As Seeb. He had a double-double by scoring 41 points and getting 12 rebounds. Harath also added 6 assists in 40 minutes on the court. The Regular Season already ended in the Asia Champions Cup. It's Harath's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Harath averages: 29.7ppg, 16.5rpg, 3.0apg, 2FGP: 61.3%(65-106), 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 82.4% in six games he played so far. Former Groupe Sportif Petroliers Alger starter played for the Algerian senior national team two years ago.

Samir Mekdad
Samir Mekdad
#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international point guard Samir Mekdad (191-86, currently plays in France). He contributed to a STB Le Havre's victory against the third-ranked Saint-Quentin (10-7) 81-72 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. Mekdad scored 7 points. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-10. STB Le Havre (13-4) is placed second. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Mekdad has relatively good stats this season: 11.0ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.8apg, 2FGP: 44.6%, 3FGP: 34.2% and FT: 68.5%. He has a dual citizenship: Algerian and French. He managed to help SO Maritime Boulogne in a victory against the fifth-ranked Vendee Challans (8-8) crushing them 85-60 in the French NM1 (third division) on Tuesday night. Cheriet recorded 5 points in 17 minutes. SO Maritime Boulogne (6-10) is placed eighth in Places 1-10 group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Similarly like Cheriet and Mekdad above he has both Algerian and French nationalities. Sahraoui used to play for the Algerian national team back in 2015.
