Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Fourth-ranked GS Petroliers (3-2) made lots of trouble for leader IRB Arreridj (7-0) in B.B. Arreridj on Saturday. IRB Arreridj managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GS Petroliers. Undefeated IRB Arreridj have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Defending champion GS Petroliers dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with OS Arreridj.
Bottom-ranked AB Skikda (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 99-56 loss to eleventh ranked USMB (3-4) in Blida. USMB moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Olympi Miliana. AB Skikda lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost.
The game in El-Beida was also quite interesting. Leader WO Boufarik (5-0) played at the court of 7th ranked CRB Dar El-B. (3-3). WO Boufarik defeated CRB Dar El-B. 69-58 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of CRB Dar El-B.. The victory was the third consecutive win for WO Boufarik. They moved-up to second place, which they share with NAH Dey. CRB Dar El-B. at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Staoueli.
A very interesting game took place in Alger. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Ouargla (1-3) to fifth ranked USM Alger (4-2) 65-64 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The victory was the third consecutive win for USM Alger. They moved-up to fourth place. Ouargla at the other side keeps the twelfth position with three games lost.

Other games of round 7 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Staoueli lost to undefeated NAH Dey in Alger 81-90. Olympi Batna was beaten by Olympi Miliana at home 72-76. Rouiba CB lost to US Setif on the opponent's court 59-77.



IRB Arreridj - GS Petroliers 77-74

They maintain second place with 5-0 record having 2 victories less than leader IRB Arreridj, which they share with WO Boufarik. Staoueli at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost.

USM Blida - AB Skikda 99-56

Bottom-ranked AB Skikda (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 99-56 loss to eleventh ranked USMB (3-4) in Blida. Olympi Miliana maintains tenth place with 3-4 record, which they share with USM Blida. Olympi Batna lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with six games lost.

US Setif - Rouiba CB 77-59

Very expected game in Setif where 14th ranked Rouiba CB (1-5) was defeated by ninth ranked USS (4-3) 77-59. USS moved-up to fifth place. Rouiba CB lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with five games lost.

GS Petroliers celebrate 6th consecutive title - 5 days ago
GS Petroliers celebrate 2018/19 title as they had no difficulties in the Final game against NB Staoueli. GS Petroliers emerged to an easy 102-68 win as they had 59-34 halftime advantage. Earlier in the semifinals Groupe Sportif Petrolier overcame NA Hussein Dey 63-61, while NB Staoueli edged WA Boufarik 64-62. It was the 6th consecutive title for GS Petroliers. In 2013 CSM Constantine won the Play-offs after three year of dominance of GS Petroliers.   [read more]
