D1 Round 2: #1 USS is defeated by Olympi Miliana - Nov 19, 2018

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in D1. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of USS (1-1) on the court of Olympi Miliana on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Olympi Miliana 77-57. Olympi Miliana is looking forward to face CRB Dar El-B. (#8) in El-Beida in the next round. USS will play at home against AB Skikda and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Eleulma. host El Eulma (0-2) lost to CRB Dar El-B. (1-0) 69-59. CRB Dar El-B. will play against Olympi Miliana (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. El Eulma will have a break next round.
An interesting game took place in where Olympi Batna (0-2) was upset on the court of Rouiba CB (1-1) 59-43 on Saturday. Rouiba CB will meet Staoueli (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Olympi Batna will play against OS Arreridj (#14) and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 2 IRB Arreridj won against USM Alger on the opponent's court 64-59. OS Arreridj managed to outperform USM Blida in a home game 80-70.



Rouiba CB - Olympi Batna 59-43

An interesting game took place in where Olympi Batna (0-2) was upset on the court of Rouiba CB (1-1) 59-43 on Saturday. Rouiba CB will meet Staoueli (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Olympi Batna will play against OS Arreridj (#14) and hope to win that game.

Very predictable result when OS Arreridj (1-1) defeated at home USMB (1-1) 80-70 on Saturday. OS Arreridj will meet Olympi Batna (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. USMB will play against USM Alger (#16) and hope to win that game.

GS Petroliers celebrate 6th consecutive title - 5 days ago
GS Petroliers celebrate 2018/19 title as they had no difficulties in the Final game against NB Staoueli. GS Petroliers emerged to an easy 102-68 win as they had 59-34 halftime advantage. Earlier in the semifinals Groupe Sportif Petrolier overcame NA Hussein Dey 63-61, while NB Staoueli edged WA Boufarik 64-62. It was the 6th consecutive title for GS Petroliers. In 2013 CSM Constantine won the Play-offs after three year of dominance of GS Petroliers.   [read more]

We bring you last week's top performances from Algerians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an experienced former international point guard Samir Mekdad (191-86).
