D1 Round 21: GS Petroliers beat Olympi Batna by three after a very close game - Feb 29, 2016

The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Sixth-ranked Olympi Batna (12-8) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked GS Petroliers (19-1) on Saturday. The visitors from Alger managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68. However their fans expected much easier game. GS Petroliers have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-1 record. Olympi Batna at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Staoueli. Seventh ranked Staoueli (13-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Arreridj (14-7) 72-69 on Thursday evening. Staoueli moved-up to sixth place. Arreridj at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost.
An interesting game for NAH Dey (16-5) which hosted in Alger second-best CRB Dar El-B. (16-5). Third ranked NAH Dey managed to get a 7-point victory 70-63. NAH Dey moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated CRB Dar El-B. CRB Dar El-B. lost third consecutive game.
Twelfth-ranked Skikda (4-16) used its home court advantage to challenge eighth ranked Miliana (10-11). The visitors from Miliana managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected much easier game. Miliana have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 10-11 record. Skikda lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost.
Fourteenth-ranked Oran (2-19) was very close to win a game against eleventh ranked USMB (6-14) in Blida on Saturday. USMB managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oran. USMB moved-up to tenth place. Newly promoted Oran stay dead last with 19 lost games.

In the last two games of round 21 US Setif beat Eleulma on the road 67-61. Constantine lost to WA Boufarik on its own court 63-67.

Staoueli - Arreridj 72-69

Important game to mention about took place in Staoueli. Seventh ranked Staoueli (13-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Arreridj (14-7) 72-69 on Thursday evening. Staoueli moved-up to sixth place. Arreridj at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost.

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked USS (14-5) beat on the road 10th ranked Eleulma (5-15) 67-61 on Saturday. USS have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Eleulma dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost.

Very expected game when 13th ranked Constantine (4-17) lost at home to ninth ranked WA Boufarik (8-12) 67-63 on Saturday. WA Boufarik have a solid series of three victories in a row. GS Petroliers clinch Super Division title - 19 days ago
GS Petroliers clinched Super Division title as they won both games against Staoueli in the Final. At first Petroliers posted a comfortable 103-76 win in the opener. Last night Petroliers won 111-92 to grab the trophy. They posted a 28-20 lead at the start and added a 20-11 run in the second period.
