Petroliers celebrate Cup title in Alger beating Marines 74-50. They posted a 19-7 surge at the start of the game and never looked behind. Moreover the favorites added an 18-10 rally in the second frame for a 37-17 halftime advantage. Petroliers scored 22 points in the third period to increase to 32 points after three quarters and looked too strong for their opponent. Marines managed to win the last stanza 23-15, but could not upset the winners.


GS Petroliers defend League title - May 29, 2018


GS Petroliers repeated as the Algerian League champions. They outlasted Hussein-Dey Marines 63:53 to claim the 11th League trophy. GS Petroliers earned a 76:67 victory in Game 1 of the Finals. But Hussein-Dey stayed dominant in the first half. They posted a 30:17 lead at the big break. HDM entered the fourth period up by 13 points 46:33. However GS Petroliers went on a 13:0 run to even things up. They finished the game strong and iced the victory and lifted the title.
