Senegalese Swingman Yacine Diop (178-G/F-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for APR BBC Kigali, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, six rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Bravehearts (#9, 0-2) with 55-point margin 92-37. APR is placed at 6th position in AWBLn _DC. APR is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Diop had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She turned to be APR's top player in her first season with the team.

The second best player in last round's games was young Mozambican Eleuteria Lhavanguane (180-F-1997) of Sporting Clube de Luanda. Lhavanguane had a very good evening with 26 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course she led Sporting to another comfortable win outscoring FBA (0-2) 65-40. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Lhavanguane is a newcomer at Sporting, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#7). Her other stats are also decent: 4.5rpg and 5.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another APR's star - center Assouma Uwizeye (182-C-1996). Uwizeye scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of APR BBC Kigali, helping her team with a 92-37 easy win against Bravehearts (#9, 0-2). APR needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Uwizeye has a great season in AWBL. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.5rpg (5th best).
