Energie BBC secured a hard-fought 63–56 win over FBA in the Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA) qualifiers, overcoming a challenging second quarter to close out the game strongly. ENE opened with an 18–16 edge before FBA responded with a dominant 22-point second quarter to take the halftime lead. The momentum shifted after the break, as Energie BBC tightened their defense and held FBA to just 5 points in the third quarter, reclaiming control of the contest. ENE then maintained their composure in the final period, outscoring FBA 17–13 to seal the victory. Their strong second-half performance proved decisive in overturning the early deficit and earning the seven-point win.
Fatoumata Traore (2006) and Nassarath Arouna (2002) stepped up with 17 points for the winners. Djeneba Sangare (175-G/F-1999) notched 19 in a loss, whilst Priscilia Amalabian (2007) poured in 10.
