APR Women BBC clinched their maiden Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA) Zone 5 title with an impressive 82–68 victory over REG Women BBC, sealing a historic triumph built on consistency and composure. APR set the tone early with a dominant 22–12 first quarter and extended their advantage to 40–28 by halftime. Although REG mounted a strong comeback in the third quarter, outscoring APR 29–19 to narrow the gap, APR responded decisively in the final period, overpowering REG 23–11 to secure the win.
Kamba Diakite (172-G-1999) led the way with 19 points and Destiney Philoxy (170-G-2000, college: UMass) had 17. Kristina King (190-F/C-1995, college: WVU) replied with 19 points in a loss.
