Les Hippos continued their WBLA Zone Five qualifiers campaign with a solid 75–61 victory over Zetech University in a game that showcased their composure and second-half strength. The contest started evenly, with Hippos edging the first quarter 15–14 before tightening their defense and finding rhythm offensively to lead 35–24 at halftime. The third quarter proved decisive, as Hippos exploded with 24 points to widen the gap and take firm control of the game. Zetech mounted a late comeback in the fourth quarter with a spirited 22-point effort, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit. In the end, Les Hippos’ balanced scoring and strong mid-game performance secured a well-deserved 75–61 win.
Laurence Diedhiou top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Elsa Niyonkuru (184-F-1996) added 14. Christine Akinyi (198-C-1997) replied with 18 points in a loss.
