Al Ahly Sporting Club reached the semis of the Women's Basketball League Africa. The favorites overcame C.N.S.S. 89-36 in the first Quarterfinal of the competition.
Al Ahly grabbed a 27-5 lead at the start and increased to 52-15 at the halftime. Moreover, the Egyptian powerhouse posted two victories in the second half to seal the win.
Dyaisha Fair (165-PG-2001, college: Syracuse) stepped up with 29 points and Ndioma Kane (190-F-1999) as well as Meral Abdelgawad (180-G-1998, college: WKU) had 11 each. Bintou Drame (171-PG-2004) replied with 10 points in a loss.
