REG Kigali became the first Semifinalist at the 2023 FIBA Africa Women's Basketball League. They overcame Universite De Douala 85-54 in the Quarterfinal clash. REG Kigali started with a 21-15 run and added massive 30-5 surge in the second period. Both teams exchanged wins in the second half for the final result.
Tiffany Mitchell (175-PG-1994, college: S.Carolina) top-scored for the winners with 24 points and Destiney Philoxy (170-G-2000, college: UMass) as well as Nia Clouden (175-G-2000, college: Michigan St.) had 17 each. Cynthia Amayaba replied with 12 points in the losing effort.
