Oummou Koumare, 17-year old forward picked up the Most Valuable Player at the FIBA Under 18 AfroBasket. She received multiple other awards, was named the Best Forward and was voted to the First Team. Koumare averaged over 4 rebounds per game during the event. She led the AfroBasket Under 18 for in points per game with over 22. Koumare has totalled 4 games of 20 or more points during the event. Idubamo Beggi, 18-year old was voted the Best Guard of FIBA Under 18 AfroBasket. She was also selected to the First Team. Her 24 points against Cameroon were the most she scored at the tournament.
Damaris Emedie, 17-year old center was named to the First Team of FIBA Under 18 AfroBasket. Her court vision was unparalleled as she secured the fifth spot in points per game, delivering an average of over 18 and second ranked in rebounds per game with an average of over 17. Emedie recorded double-doubles in 6 games during the event. Her 21 points against Rwanda were the most she scored at the tournament.
Resty Nanangwe, 16-year old earned a spot in the First Team at the FIBA Under 18 AfroBasket. She showcased her talent by ranking second in points per game with an average of over 20. Nanangwe also averaged over 8 rebounds per game at the event. She has totalled 3 games of 20 or more points and logged double-doubles in 2 games during the event. Nanangwe's 31 points against Nigeria were the most she scored at the tournament.
