Zambia - Angola 35-82
Angola clinched the second position in Group B. They thumped Zambia to improve at 2-1 record. Angola recorded a 41-19 halftime lead. They followed with a 29-5 run in the third term to clear off for good. Luisa Amaral (2006) posted 28 points, while Ana Servico (2007) and Daniela Gongo (2006) had 12 points each for Angola. Abigail Mwale (2007) answered with 12 points for Zambia.

Mali - Morocco 97-61
Mali cruised past Morocco to finish preliminary round undefeated. The teams were tied at 42 heading into the second half. But Mali triggered a 55-19 second half run to ice the victory. Oummou Koumare (176-F-2006) posted 26 points, while Rokiatou Berthe (180-F-2006) had 19 points for Mali. Eiza Louveton (176-F/G-2006) responded with 18 points for Morocco.
