Review of Day 3 in South Africa

Cameroon - South Africa 107-23
Cameroon stormed past South Africa to improve at 1-1 record in Group A. Cameroon opened a 59-11 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Kelya Kipo (180-G-2006) scored 33 points, while Damaris Emedje added 19 points and 21 rebounds for the winners. Ntokozo Thonga (2007) answered with 7 points and 14 boards for South Africa.

Nigeria - Zimbabwe 107-30
Nigeria cruised past Zimbabwe to record the first win in Group C. Nigeria registered a 56-12 halftime lead. They held Zimbabwe to just 18 points in the second half and rallied to the win. Idubamo Beggi (2006) scored 20 points and made 10 steals, while Momoluwa Tewogbade (2007) provided 19 points for the winning side. Tinaishe Chikwata (173-SG-2007) answered with 13 points for Zimbabwe.

Uganda - Egypt 53-76
Egypt clinched the second straight win at the championship. They toppled Uganda in Group C action. Egypt recorded a 46-22 halftime lead. The teams traded baskets throughout the second half as Egypt marched to the win. Leila Elsanadily (181-F-2006) tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Uganda answered with 15 points from Modesta Anyango (2007).

Rwanda - Tunisia 71-74
Tunisia held off Rwanda to improve at 2-0 record atop of Group A. Tunisia piled up a 40-26 halftime lead. But Rwanda bounced back with a 29-13 rally in the third term to spur ahead. But Tunisia sank 21 points in the fourth frame and ran away with the victory. Molka Mares (193-F-2006) posted 20 points, while Ines Rejeb (174-PG-2007) added 18 points for Tunisia. Brigitte Nibishaka (175-F-2006) tossed in 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Rwanda.
