Egypt advance into Final in Cairo despite loss to Senegal

Egypt advanced into U18 AfroBasket Final. They did so despite the loss to Senegal in the final game of Group Phase in Cairo tonight. Egypt and Mali will now clash for the title on Wednesday.
Senegal needed to win by six or more points to reach the championship game. They went on an 18-8 run in the second period to take a 35-33 halftime lead. But Egypt denied the deficit in the third term to grab a narrow lead. Senegal sank 18 points in the fourth term to force overtime. But Senegal posted just 6 points in the extra period and though claiming victory stopped short of reaching the title game. Ndate Ndiaye (04) posted 21 points for Senegal. Hager Yassine (03) and Farida Mossad (177-PF-03) tossed in 13 points each for Egypt.
