Egypt and Mali to clash for title in Cairo

Mali - Angola 65-46
Mali outscored Angola to seal their Final appearance in Cairo. The defending champions will take on hosting Egypt for the trophy on Sunday. Adama Coulibaly (175-G/F-98) scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for the winners. Mali jumped to a 38:17 halftime advantage. Angola cut the deficit in the second half but never threatened the margin as Mali cruised to the win. Kamba Diakite (172-G-99) produced 13 points for the winners. Juda Quindanda (176-F/G-98) responded with 10 points for Angola.

Egypt - Mozambique 66-33
Egypt raced past Mozambique to enter the championship game in Cairo. Rana Abdelfattah (182-F/C-98) nailed 16 points to pace the hosts. Egypt went on a 12:5 run in the second frame to open a 24:17 halftime lead. They held their opponents to 10 points in the third term to boost the gap at 15-point mark. Egypt went on a 24:6 run in the final period to seal the win. Meral Abdelgawad (181-F-98) netted 13 points for the hosts. Madina Camara (138-PG-99) responded with 14 points for Mozambique.
5-8 Place
Uganda - Madagascar 38-65
Madagascar knocked down Uganda in the classification clash. Tokin'Iaina Sambatrarimiora (170-PG-98) led well-balanced effort with 11 points. Madagascar posted a 34:12 halftime lead. They held Uganda to 26 points in the second half and raced to the victory. Jessica Vavisoa tallied 8 points and 7 boards for the winners. Mellissa Akullu (99) responded with 14 points and 17 rebounds for Uganda.

Algeria - Tunisia 43-47
Tunisia outgunned Algeria in the classification round. Marwa Shili (175-G/F-99) nailed 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to pace the winners. Tunisia piled up a 23:15 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 9-point mark at the final intermission. Algeria cut the deficit in the fourth quarter but could not avoid the defeat. Amira Rebhi (186-C-98) had 11 points in the win. Souhila Chaouche (170-PG-98) and Myriam Zaidi (170-PG-99) replied with 11 points each for Algeria.
