Angola registered the second straight victory in Cairo. They beat Algeria for 2-0 record in Group A. Avelina Peso (184-F/C-98) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the winners. Angola jumped to a 20:4 lead after the opening quarter. Angola held their opponents to just 10 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Valeriana Moxi (170-PG-99) netted 7 points in the win. Myriam Zaidi (170-PG-99) replied with 9 points for Algeria.

Group B

Uganda - Mali 19-143
Mali posted the second win in a row in Group B. The defending champions coasted past Uganda to stay perfect. Eight players scored in double digits for the winners. Aminata Diakite (166-PG-98) tallied 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Mali. They opened a massive 84:8 halftime lead and cruised to the victory at the end. Rokia Doumbia (173-PG-99) notched 20 points and 8 steals in the victory. Sarafina Driciru (98) responded with 8 points and 12 rebounds for Uganda.
