Egypt registered the second straight victory in Group A. They outgunned Madagascar to stay undefeated. Meral Abdelgawad (181-F-98) scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the hosts. Egypt claimed a 38:21 halftime lead. They sank 40 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Rana Abdelfattah (182-F/C-98) had 13 points in the win. Christiane Jaofera (170-PG-99) responded with 14 points for Madagascar.

Mozambique - Tunisia 55-36
Mozambique opened win count in Cairo. They thumped Tunisia to improve at 1-1 record in Group B. Silvia Veloso (172-G-98) was unstoppable with 28 points, 9 steals and 8 rebounds for the winners. Tunisia jumped to a 14:9 lead after ten minutes. They stayed in front throughout the second term. Tunisia established a 23:22 halftime lead. But Mozambique turned things around in the second half. They ignited a 33:13 run to seal the victory. Madina Camara (138-PG-99) had 9 points in the win. Fatma Aouinet (182-F/C-98) responded with 12 points for Tunisia.
