Ferroviario Maputo stepped onto pedestal in Maputo at the Champions Cup 2022. In the game for the third place they edged Inter Clube 71-67. Both sides scored 14 points each in the opening period, whilst the hosts grabbed a minimum lead at the halftime. They added a 23-20 rally in the third quarter, while both sides scored 16 points apiece in the last stanza.
Dulce Mabjaia (165-PG-1988) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Silvia Veloso (170-G-1998, college: Cumberlands) notched 14. Cristina Matiquite (191-C-1992) answered with 18 points in a loss and Alexis Tolefree (173-PG-1998, college: Arkansas) netted 13.
