Inter Clube posted second straight win in Maputo at the African Champions Cup. The team from Angola beat Costa do Sol 72-57.
The home side started the game better and grabbed a 10-point lead at the end of the first period. Inter Clube managed to reply with a narrow 16-15 run in the second frame and then took control of the game in the second half.
Cristina Matiquite (191-C-1992) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Alexis Tolefree (173-PG-1998, college: Arkansas) netted. Jessica Malagi (184-F/C-1997) produced 11, whilst Italee Lucas (172-SG-1989, college: UNC) notched 10. Nilza Chiziane (188-C-1992) answered with 14 points in a loss and Ingvild Agostinho produced 13.
