Ferroviaro Maputo defended their African Champions Cup title. They outgunned Inter-Clube in the championship game tonight. Odelia Mafanela (181-F-89) scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the champions. Inter-Clube dominated in the first three periods. They entered the fourth one up by 11 points. But Ferroviaro used a 29:18 run in the fourth term to force overtime. Ferroviaro sank 9 points in the extra period to ice the victory. Sarah Ogoke (175-G-90, college: So.Poly State) produced 22 points in the win. Italee Lucas (172-SG-89, college: UNC) answered with game-high 31 points and 9 rebounds for Inter-Clube.

Al Ahly stepped onto the pedestal in Cairo. They topped their Egyptian rivals Sporting in the consolation final to earn Bronze medals. The game without a history. Al Ahly led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Al Ahly had a 36-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Kelsey Mitchell (172-95, college: Ohio St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!). Guard Soraia Deghady (172-95) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Shawnta Dyer (185-91, college: Louisville) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Mai Helwa (-89) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

INSS rallied past FAP De Yde to earn the fifth position in the final standings. FAP DE Yde was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-14 charge of INSS, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding FAP DE Yde to just 6 points in first quarter. INSS forced 21 FAP DE Yde turnovers and outrebounded them 48-35 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Cecile Mukoso (177-86) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Power forwardDeborah Kaba (184-0) helped adding 9 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American swingman Apolonia Thomas (180-93, college: Pikeville) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and American-Cameroonian point guardAlexandra Green (167-92) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. FAP DE Yde's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

It was a great evening for forwardIfunaya Okoro (180-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals. CenterJuliet-Chika Chinyere (-93) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. MFM Q.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Ivorian swingman Mariama Kouyate (180-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and forward Djefarima Diawara (180-94) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds.
