American-Angolan Italee Lucas (172-89, college: UNC) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ifunaya Okoro (180-99) who recorded 10 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Inter-Clube is looking forward to face Energie (#4) in the next round. MFM Q. will play against Sporting and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Mozambican Ferroviaro M. faced DR Congolese INSS. The team from Mozambique (2-0) smashed INSS (0-2) 89-57. It was a good game for power forward Deolinda Gimo (190-87) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Sarah Ogoke contributed with 16 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Center Mariana Muadi (187-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for INSS. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ferroviaro M. will play against Sporting (#3) in Alexandria in the next round, which may be the game of the day. INSS will play on the road against FAP DE Yde in Yaounde and hopes to get finally their first victory.
