Ferroviaro celebrated African Champions Cup title. They held off Inter-Clube in the exciting championship game in Maputo. The hosts posted a 16:11 lead after the opening frame. But Inter-Clube responded with a 22:14 run in the second term to gain a 33:30 halftime lead. Ferroviaro went on a 17:11 run in the third term to regain the lead. The home team kept Inter-Clube at distance in the fourth frame and raced to the trophy. Carmen Tyson-Thomas (180-F/C-91, college: Syracuse, agency: Two Points) delivered 20 points, while Odelia Mafanela (184-F-89) had 14 points and 8 rebounds for the champions. Italee Lucas (175-SG-89, college: N.Carolina) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Inter-Clube.
3-4 Place
First Bank - V Club 93-69
First Bank stepped onto the pedestal in Maputo. They cruised past V Club to earn the Bronze medals. Jasmine Nwajei (173-G-95, college: Syracuse) scored 23 points to lead the charge. V Club enjoyed a 21:14 lead after the opening quarter. But First Bank responded with a 27:9 run in the second period to ensure a 41:30 halftime lead. They followed with a 29:17 rally in the fourth term to ice the victory. Nkechi Akashili (175-G-90) had 15 points for the winners. Ortice Kabobo (188-C-87) answered with 17 points for V Club.

5-6 Place
INSS - FAP DE Yde 45-60
FAP De Yde earned the fifth position at the championship as they rallied past INSS on the final day. Marie Mbong (180-F-90) came up with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win. FAP De Yde established a 32:19 halftime lead. They held their opponents to just 26 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Alexandra Green (PG-92) notched 15 points for FAP De Yde. Evodie Lubata-Londa knocked down 13 points for INSS.

7-8 Place
MB2ALL - KPA 49-52
KPA wrapped up their campaign on a high note. They topped MB2ALL to finish seventh in Maputo. Taudencia Oluoch (190-C-95, college: Abil.Christian) banked in 14 points for the Kenyan team. MBALL grabbed a 12:6 lead after ten minutes. KPA spurred ahead in the second frame. MB2ALL regained tempo in the third period scoring 20 points and tying things up at 39. But KPA held their opponents to just 10 points in the fourth frame and eked out a narrow win at the end. Rebecca Nkatha (184-PG-93) chipped in 11 points in the victory. Sydonie Andriamihajanirina (175-PF-95) replied with 17 points for MB2ALL.
