Ferroviario stunned V Club to improve at 3-0 record on top of Group A. Eleuteria Lhavanguane (178-F-97) delivered 13 points to lead the well-balanced effort from the Mozambique team. They built a 40:16 halftime lead and never looked back again. Carmen Tyson-Thomas (180-F/C-91, college: Syracuse, agency: Two Points) had 9 points for the winners. Ortice Kabobo (188-C-87) responded with 11 points for V Club.
Equity Bank - FAP DE Yde 44-77
FAP De Yde stormed past Equity Bank to gain the first win in Maputo. Alexandra Green (PG-92) had 22 points and 7 assists for the winners. FAP De Yde went on a 30:11 run in the second frame to open a 19-point lead. FAP Basketball cruised to the victory after that. Marie Mbong (180-F-90) had 18 points in the victory. Belinda Okoth (190-C-87) and Betty Kananu (175-G/F-92) had 8 points each in the loss.
Group B
Lakers - First Bank 56-86
First Bank remained undefeated in Group B. They stormed past Lakers behind 20 points from Jasmine Nwajei (173-G-95, college: Syracuse). First Bank piled up a 49:24 halftime lead. They finished the game with a 26:12 run to seal the victory. Aisha Mohammed (191-C-85, college: Virginia) contributed 14 points for the winners. Mellisa Majonga (156-PG-95) answered with 14 points for Lakers.
INSS - KPA 71-61
INSS held off KPA to gain the second consecutive victory in Maputo. Evodie Lubata Londa (186-F-95) tossed in 19 points for the winners. INSS piled up a 41:33 halftime lead. They held KPA to just 28 points in the second half to rally to the win. Cecile Mukoso (177-F-86) had 16 points for the winning side. Jamila Nansikombi (184-SG-97) replied with 25 points for KPA.
