Al Ahly - Libolo 68-66
Al Ahly have been crowned champions in Cairo. The hosts survived a dramatic title game against Libolo to dethrone the Angolan powerhouse. Markeith Cummings (198-SF-88, college: Kennesaw St.) stepped up with 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the winners. Al Ahly eked out a narrow 33:31 halftime advantage. They extended the lead to 4 points heading into the fourth quarter 54:50. Libolo managed to pull closer in the fourth period but could not avoid the defeat at the end. Wayne Arnold (193-F/G-84, college: Tennessee St.) accounted for 16 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds in the win. Andre Harris (201-PF-85, college: Fair Dickinson) responded with 16 points for libolo. Eduardo Mingas (200-F/C-79) had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
3-4 Place
Kano Pillars - ASS Sale 76-88
ASS Sale stepped onto the pedestal at the African Champions Cup. They rallied past Kano Pillars to earn Bronze medals. Brandon Freeman (191-G-83, college: UALR, agency: Promotex) scored 30 points to lead the effort. ASS Sale established a 40:33 halftime advanatge. They extended the gap at 11-point mark at the final break. ASS Sale sank 25 points in the fourth term and cruised to the win. Abdelhakim Zouita (200-F-86) accounted for 23 points and 7 assists in the victory. Abdul Yahaya (203-F-90) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds for Kano Pillars.

5-6 Place
GS Petroliers - C Africain 59-66
Club Africain topped GS Petroliers to finish fifth at the tournament. Lassaad Chouaya (190-SG-89) stepped up with 18 points for the Tunisian team. Club Africain grabbed a 32:25 halftime lead. They boosted the margin at 13-point mark heading into the fourth term and never looked back en route to the win. AJ Matthews (216-F-89, college: Farmingdale St.) tossed in 14 points for Club Africain. Faycal Belkhodja (192-G-88) answered with 14 points for GS Petroliers.

7-8 Place
BEAC - 1 De Agosto 72-55
BEAC finished their championship campaign on a high note. They toppled 1 De Agosto to occupy the seventh position. Fabrice Kouekam (198-F-89) delivered 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the winners. 1 De Agosto jumped to a 20:11 lead after ten minutes. BEAC however went on a massive 48:25 run in the second half and raced to the victory. Bernard Penda (190-G-89) produced 16 points in the win. Emmanuel Quezada (188-PG-85, college: USF) responded with 24 points for 1 De Agosto.
