Abdelhakim Zouita (200-F-86) scored 26 points to lead ASS Sale past Club Africain in the quarterfinal clash. ASS Sale established a comfortable 45:29 halftime lead. Club Africain cut the deficit at 6-point mark at the final intermission. ASS Sale dropped 20 points in the fourth quarter and got away with a tough win. Brandon Freeman (191-G-83, college: UALR, agency: Promotex) had 14 points for the winners. Kyle Vinales (185-G-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) and Ziyed Chennoufi (201-F-88) responded with 17 points each for Club Africain.
BEAC - Al Ahly 60-63
Al Ahly survived a heated battle against BEAC to advance into the semifinal stage at the championship. Wayne Arnold (193-F/G-84, college: Tennessee St.) posted 22 points and 9 rebounds to pace the Egyptian team. Al Ahly jumped to a 23:11 lead after the first term. BEAC however pulled within 3 points at halftime. Al Ahly held their opponents to just 9 points in the third term to secure an 11-point advantage at the final intermission. BEAC dropped 26 points in the fourth term but could not avoid the defeat. Karim Mohamed Eldahshan (191-G-91) provided 15 points in the win. Bernard Penda (190-G-89) responded with 16 points for BEAC.

Libolo rallied past 1 De Agosto in all Angolan quarterfinal clash. Olimpio Cipriano (194-F-82) stepped up with 18 points and 10 rebounds to pace the winners. Libolo rallied to a 40:35 halftime lead. They extended the gap at 9-point mark heading into the fourth frame. 1 De Agosto sank 26 points in the fourth quarter but could not avoid the defeat. Valdelicio Joaquim (208-C-90, college: Hawaii, agency: BeoBasket) had 15 points in the win. Emmanuel Quezada (188-PG-85, college: USF) responded with 24 points for 1 De Agosto.
Kano Pillars - GS Petroliers 91-81
Kano Pillars advanced into the semifinal stage of the tournament. The Nigerian team overcame GS Petroliers in the quarterfinal clash. Abubakar Usman (192-G-86) provided 34 points and 7 rebounds to lead the winners. GS Petroliers claimed a 39:36 halftime lead. But Kano Pillars improved offensively in the second half. They unleashed 55 points in the second half and raced to the win. Abdul Yahaya (203-F-90) provided 17 points in the victory. Abdellah Hamdini (200-F-92) responded with 18 points for GS Petroliers.
