C Africain - Nzui Manto 79-77
Club Africain eked out a narrow victory over Nzui Manto to improve at 2-1 record in Group A. Nzui Manto grabbed a narrow 54:49 lead at the final intermission. But Club Africain sank 30 points in the fourth term to celebrate victory at the end. Kyle Vinales (185-G-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) provided 23 points, while AJ Matthews (216-F-89, college: Farmingdale St.) added 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Tunisian team. Nzui Manto responded with 23 points from Felix Bogmis (192-G-92).

1 De Agosto - Kano Pillars 79-83
Kano Pillars upset 1 De Agosto for the second win in Group A. Abubakar Usman (192-G-86) came up with 23 points to lead the Nigerian team. 1 De Agosto were in control in the first period. They opened a 29:15 lead ten minutes into the game. But Kano Pillars cut the deficit at 5-point mark at the interval. They used a 21:12 run in the fourth quarter to snatch the win. Ejike Ugboaja (203-F-85) produced 17 points in the victory. Islando Manuel (192-F-91) responded with 22 points and 10 boards for 1 De Agosto.

Group B
GS Petroliers - ASS Sale 90-78
GS Petroliers handed ASS Sale the first loss in Cairo. Hocine Gaham (194-G/F-86) and Abdesslem Dekkiche (194-G/F-86) scored 20 points each to lead the Algerian team. GS Petroliers grabbed a 38:34 halftime lead. They unloaded 52 points in the second half and marched to the second win at the tournament. Abdelhakim Zouita (200-F-86) responded with 21 points for ASS Sale.

BEAC - City Oilers 67-65 OT
BEAC topped City Oilers in overtime to gain the first victory in Group B. Bernard Penda (190-G-89) led well-balanced effort with 12 points. BEAC rallied to a 22:11 lead after the first period. City Oilers however managed to erase the deficit in the next three quarters sending the game into overtime. BEAC then sank 8 points in the extra period and raced to the win. Boris Mienne (182-PG-93) provided 11 points for the winners. Kami Kabangu (203-C-84) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds for City Oilers.
