Latvia completed a clean sweep of 3x3 basketball's biggest prizes, beating Germany 20-15 to win their first FIBA 3x3 World Cup title before a packed Parade Square crowd in the heart of Warsaw.
The triumph made Latvia the first nation to hold the Olympic gold (Tokyo 2020), the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup (2017) and the FIBA 3x3 World Cup all at once, adding to the World Tour title they claimed in 2020. Fittingly, it was Karlis Lasmanis (200-G-1994) who led them there: the tournament MVP and top scorer poured in 12 points in the final and racked up a competition-best 56 across the seven days. Denzel Agyeman scored nine for Germany in the title game and earned a spot on the Team of the Tournament.
In the bronze-medal game, Serbia's Strahinja Stojacic (197-SG-1992) dragged his side to a 20-19 win over France to claim a second straight third-place finish, completing a Team of the Tournament trio alongside Lasmanis and Agyeman.
The 10th edition of the World Cup drew more than 100,000 spectators across seven days of sold-out sessions in the Polish capital. With the road to Los Angeles 2028 underway, the next World Cup heads to Singapore in 2027.
