Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (ProA) agreed terms with 25-year old Zimbabwean international power forward Vitalis Chikoko (207-91). He played last season at B.Muenchen in German BBL league. In 15 games he had 6.3ppg and 3.3rpg. Chikoko helped them to make it to the semifinals. He also played that season for Tezenis Verona in Serie A where in 24 games he recorded 8.6ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.4bpg.
Chikoko has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Afrobasket.com All-African Championships 2nd Team in 2015.
Chikoko also represented Zimbabwe at the Afrobasket Championships in Rades (Tunisia) last year. His stats at that event were 5 games: 13.4ppg, Reb-4 (8.8rpg), 1.2apg, Blocks-1 (3.2bpg), FGP: 48.8%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 64.7%.
Chikoko has played previously professionally in Italy (Grissin Bon RE).
On Chikoko: A talented, lanky forward/center who has a huge upside. Even stanging almost 6-10, he can spend yet time at the PF position, thanks to enormous athletic skills, versatility, and good feel for the game. His long arms allow him to be a good defender and shot blocker.

Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez roster for 2016-2017:
Guards:
Yannick Bokolo
Ronald Lewis
D.J. Cooper
Lucas Dussoulier
Elie Okobo
Forwards:
Jean-Michel Mipoka
Antywane Robinson
Vitalis Chikoko
Leopold Cavaliere
Centers:
Alain Koffi
J.K. Edwards
