Play-off Finals Postponed to December - Dec 26, 2016

The Pepsi National Basketball playoffs finals for MEN have been postponed until defending champions and Zone V champions City Oil return from the Africa club championships in Egypt. City Oilers set off on November 22nd and return 18th December. The Africa club championships will be ending on the 15th of December, and thus will be expected back latest 18th December. It is after they return that FUBA will communicate the dates for the final play-offs. City Oilers are yet to find out who their nemesis would be in the finals between the would be debutants in the finals KIU Titans, and a BETWAY Power that was humiliated in their last final by the same Oilers 4 games to nil. Both teams are yet tied at 2 games a piece in the semi-final playoff after KIU blew out Power in yesterdays game that ended 69-54 in KIU's favor. However the women play-offs final between defending champions UCU Lady Canons Vs KCCA Leopards will tip-off on Sunday November 19th 2016 at the MTN Lugogo Arena.

City Oilers are PEPSI National Basketball League champions - 2 months ago
City Oilers are PEPSI National Basketball League champions beating Power in five games. Last night they posted a comfortable win to win the series 4-1. Oilers became the champions for the 4th time in a row. Jimmy Enabu (187-SG-88), Jonah Otim (SG) and Kami Kabangu (203-C-84) were the key players in the team's victory. Joseph Ikong (193-F/G) and Machael Kojo effort was not enough in a loss.   [read more]
