On a night when Our Saviour ended a seven game losing streak, there were routine victories for Power and UCU Canons following the weekend games in National Basketball League. UCU Canons were the more impressive bouncing back from Thursday's tame 62-52 defeat to KIU Titans to easily step past UPDF Tomahawks 71-58. Andrew Gang top led with 16 points and Isaiah James (201-F) added 14 for the Canons who improved 13-5 with three regular season games left. UPDF now have a 6-11 record and are in a four-way battle for the final two playoff positions with Sharing Youth, Startimes Falcons, Ndejje University. Falcons for whom Stephen Omony (198-G/F-79) and Sulaiman Bbale scored 25 and 19 points respectively were the biggest beneficiaries on the weekend as they improved to 6-13 courtesy of an 89-57 win over Charging Rhino. Ndejje on the other hand were the first team to lose to Our Saviour in seven games after going down 58-52. Steven Mwesigye's double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds so Our Saviour improve to 9-9.. Innocent Ochera led with 12 points for Ndejje who are now at 6-12.
In the women's games, Martha Soigi's 21 points helped KCCA Leopards inflict a second defeat on champions UCU Lady Canons who fell 69-57.
