City Oilers rightly hogged the headlines as they built up a 14-game unbeaten run in the National Basketball League. KIU Titans on the other hand started the season with three straight defeats and used that period to string together an 11-game winning run of their own. But following their 70-67 win over City Oilers last weekend, the Kansanga-based university side will firmly be back in the limelight when they take on Power at the Lugogo MTN Arena this evening. "The win gives us belief that we can beat any team in the league," KIU Titans assistant coach Chris Kyebambe said of the victory over City Oilers. Their opponents Power have won three straight games including a 78-67 defeat of Our Saviour in the previous fixture. On Wednesday, Startimes Falcons gave their playoffs hopes a major shot in the arm by improving to a 4-13 record following an 83-75 win over Ndejje University. Stephen Omony (198-G/F-79) and Francis Karoro led Falcons with 17 points with Sulaiman Bbaale and forward Vinnie Jurua adding 16 and 15 points respectively. "It is a game at a time but we are confident of reaching the playoffs," Omony stated afterwards. Ndejje, who had Innocent Ochera score a game high 21 points, lost for the 10th time in 16 games. Earlier Jimmy Enabu (183-G-88) scored 16 points and Landry Ndikumana 13 to lead Oilers to a 82-61 win over UPDF.
