Corye Payton
Al Mina (Superleague) landed 30-year old American guard Corye Payton (196-93kg-87, college: Wilmington, DE). He played most recently at Stade Nabeulien in Tunisian Division I.
Among other achievements Payton received Asia-Basket.com All-Kuwait League 2nd Team award back in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. Payton has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Payton has played previously professionally in Saudi Arabia (Al Nahda), Slovakia (Handlova), Uruguay (Olimpia) and Kuwait (Al Arabi).
He attended Wilmington University until 2012 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Payton's game is described as: An extremely athletic combo guard, who plays way above the rim and has unlimited range from behind the arc. He can create for himself as well as for others. Corye is a team leader who brings enthusiasm and energy to the game. His length and speed are impressive on both ends of the floor, making him very exciting in transition.
