Division I Round 11: ES Rades keep a leadership position - Oct 30, 2016

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked ES Rades as it allowed them to take a leadership position. ES Rades smashed bottom-ranked US Ansar at home 80-39. ES Rades have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted US Ansar still closes the standings with ten games lost. US Ansar will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. ES Rades will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Ezzahra on the road.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked JS Kairouan (5-4) against fourth ranked DSG (5-4) on Saturday night. Visiting JS Kairouan was defeated by DSG in a tough game on the road 71-76. DSG have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with JS Kairouan and AS Hammamet. DSG will play against league's second-placed ES Sahel in Sousse in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JS Kairouan will play at home against JS Manazeh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Undefeated leader Club Africain delivered the ninth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 7th ranked ESG (1-9) 59-51 in Goulette. Undefeated Club Africain (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. ESG lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost.

In the last two games of round 11 Stade Gabesien was defeated by AS Hammamet in a road game 90-72. US Monastir smashed CS Cheminots at home 68-47.

AS Hammamet - Stade Gabesien 90-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Stade Gabesien's (2-7) road loss to fourth ranked AS Hammamet (5-4) 72-90 on Saturday. AS Hammamet moved-up to third place, which they share with JS Kairouan and DSG. Stade Gabesien lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with seven games lost.

U.S. Monastir maintains third place with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader ES Rades. C.S. Cheminots at the other side keep the sixth position with eight games lost.
