Division I Round 10: JS Kairouan beats Ezzahra by three after a very close game - Oct 23, 2016

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Division I took place in Kairouan. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Ezzahra (2-6) to third ranked JS Kairouan (5-3) 55-52 on Saturday evening. JS Kairouan maintains third position with 5-3 record having four points less than leader C Africain. Ezzahra at the other side dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Stade Gabesien. JS Kairouan are looking forward to face DSG (#4) in the next round. Ezzahra will play against the league's leader ES Sahel in Sousse and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
An interesting game for Stade Nabeulien (7-2) which hosted in Nabeul their biggest opponent U.S. Monastir (6-3). Third ranked Stade Nabeulien managed to get a 6-point victory 66-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of U.S. Monastir. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Stade Nabeulien have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. U.S. Monastir at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Stade Nabeulien will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. U.S. Monastir will play against C.S. Cheminots and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Division I top team - ES Sahel (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed seventh ranked US Ansar (0-9) 95-57. ES Sahel have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record, which they share with ES Rades. Newly promoted US Ansar still closes the standings with nine games lost. ES Sahel will meet at home Ezzahra (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. US Ansar will play against the league's second-placed ES Rades and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Division I top team - Club Africain (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Stade Gabesien (2-6) 83-59. Undefeated Club Africain have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. Stade Gabesien lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Club Africain's next round opponent will be ESG (#7) in Goulette where they are favorite. Stade Gabesien will play on the road against AS Hammamet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Tunis was also quite interesting. 6th ranked ESG (1-8) played at the court of seventh ranked C.S. Cheminots (2-7). C.S. Cheminots managed to secure a 6-point victory 66-60 on Saturday. C.S. Cheminots moved-up to sixth place. ESG lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. C.S. Cheminots will face higher ranked U.S. Monastir (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ESG will play against the league's leader Club Africain (#1) and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 10 ES Rades beat JS Manazeh on the road 73-68.

CS Cheminots - ESG 66-60

The game in Tunis was also quite interesting. 6th ranked ESG (1-8) played at the court of seventh ranked C.S. Cheminots (2-7). C.S. Cheminots managed to secure a 6-point victory 66-60 on Saturday. C.S. Cheminots moved-up to sixth place. ESG lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. C.S. Cheminots will face higher ranked U.S. Monastir (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ESG will play against the league's leader Club Africain (#1) and hope to win that game.

JS Manazeh - ES Rades 68-73

No shocking result in a game when second ranked ES Rades (8-1) beat on the road 5th ranked JS Manazeh (3-6) 73-68 on Saturday. ES Rades keep a position of league leader, which they share with ES Sahel. Loser JS Manazeh keeps the fifth place with six games lost. ES Rades will face US Ansar (#7) in the next round where they are favorite.
