Division I Round 6: Club Africain hands first loss to U.S. Monastir - Oct 2, 2016

The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and games ending by tiny margin.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated U.S. Monastir (4-1) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Club Africain (5-0) 64-50. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of U.S. Monastir. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Undefeated Club Africain have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 5-0 record, which they share with ES Rades. U.S. Monastir at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Stade Nabeulien. Club Africain is looking forward to face Stade Nabeulien (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. U.S. Monastir will play against AS Hammamet and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Another exciting game for JS Kairouan (3-2) which played on the court of JS Manazeh (2-3). Third ranked JS Kairouan saved the game by a tiny margin of three points 70-67. JS Kairouan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 3-2 record having just two points less than leader C Africain. JS Manazeh at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. JS Kairouan will play against US Ansar (#7) in the next round. JS Manazeh will play against Ezzahra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Goulette between AS Hammamet and ESG. Fifth ranked AS Hammamet (2-3) got a very close victory on the road over 6th ranked ESG (1-5). AS Hammamet managed to escape with a 3-point win 79-76 on Friday evening. AS Hammamet moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser ESG keeps the sixth position with five games lost. AS Hammamet will meet at home league's second-placed U.S. Monastir in the next round and it may be the game of the week. ESG will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Stade Nabeulien (4-1) which hosted in Nabeul 4th ranked Stade Gabesien (2-3). Third ranked Stade Nabeulien managed to get a 9-point victory 87-78. Stade Nabeulien moved-up to second place, which they share with US Monastir. Newly promoted Stade Gabesien keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Stade Nabeulien's next round opponent will be league's leader Club Africain in Tunis and it will be for sure the game of the week.
Division I top team - ES Rades (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Ezzahra (1-4) 82-64. Undefeated ES Rades have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record, which they share with C Africain. Ezzahra lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with four games lost. ES Rades will face DSG (#5) in the next round. Ezzahra will play against JS Manazeh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 6 DSG was beaten by ES Sahel on the road 66-55.

JS Manazeh - JS Kairouan 67-70

Another exciting game for JS Kairouan (3-2) which played on the court of JS Manazeh (2-3). Third ranked JS Kairouan saved the game by a tiny margin of three points 70-67.
