Al Manama club announced through social media that they signed with 66 years old Portuguese coach Mario Leonel Palma . the current head coach of Portugal National Team will arrive to Bahrain and start preparations with the club for upcoming season once he finishes his obligations with national team.
Coach Mario coached African Club in Tunisia last season and he won the league title there, he had long experience in Africa specially in Angola he coached Angola National Team between 1999 until 2005 and he won FIBA African championship four times 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005 beside his experience with Desportivo 1. De Agosto club there.
he also had experience in Asia when he coached Jordan National Team and helped them to reach world championship 2010, beside his experience with Zain local club there.

Defending champion Al Ittihad Jeddah (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old American guard Randy Reed II (198-91kg-93, college: Omaha, agency: Interperformances). He played most recently at JS Manazeh in Tunisian Division I. Among other achievements Reed II won NJCAA District XIII championship title in 2014. Tunisian national team prepare for the qualification tournament for World Cup China 2019 - 16 days ago
The team arrived last night in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon until 20 November for preparation for the 2019 World Cup qualification The course will be held in Cameroon from 24 to 26 November.
