Rwanda - Togo 87-67
Rwanda Monday finish third in group-C with an 87-67 points victory over Togo in both sides last group game at the Palais des Sports, Antananarivo, Madagascar. Rwanda open the game with a 27-08 and 24-10 points advantage in the first and second quarters but Togo stage a late come-back from the beginning of the third quarter forcing Rwanda to commit mistake though the insurgence was late to save them from defeat but Rwanda lost both quarters by 21-23 and 15-26 points. Kenneth Gasana (197-F-84) led the floor with 19 points, 9 assists, 2 rebound and 2 steal, forward Robert Thomson (208-C-82, college: Fairfield) contributed 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assist and 2 steal with Cameroun Bradley (198-F-91) grabbing a double double of 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals to earn Rwanda its first win of the championship. Rwanda will battle Cote dIvoire Wednesday in the eight final round at 15H00. *By Olusegun Ikuesan

Ferroviario Beira (D1) landed 30-year old Togolese ex-international guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alderson-Broaddus, WV). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Williams played most recently at Al Ahli in Qatari D1 league. In 12 games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 23.4ppg and recorded 6.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg last season. Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Others Sign Basketball Pact - 1 Year ago
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Benin Republic, Togo, Niger and Burkina Faso on a regional development of basketball. Samen Mash'had (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old Togolese ex-international guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alderson-Broaddus, WV). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Williams played recently at Al Karkh in Iraqi Superleague. Part of last season he spent at Al Ahli (Premier League) in Saudi Arabia.
