FIBA Africa Zone-3 Qualifier: Togo dominate Benin 76-58 - Aug 17, 2010

Togo completed the FIBA Africa Zone-3 elimination with a 76-58 points victory over Benin Republic who left the series without a win.
The victory thus bring Togo to a 3-3 record, winning in three quarters by 17-10, 23-10, 24-20 while Benin manage to pick the last quarter by 18-12 points for a cumulativ score-line of 76-58 points.

The results qualifies Togo for the 27th edition of Africa biggest basketball showpiece Abidjan 2011 Afrobasket.
The elimination series with the donation of hundred of balls by FIBA Africa to its affiliate federations in the zone.

Togo centre, Mauctar Diaby led his team with a double bouble effort of 16 rebounds and 13 points, Jimmy Williams had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, Comtan Pinheiro contributed 13 points while Komi Ayayi added 11 points for Togo victory run.

Ferroviario Beira (D1) landed 30-year old Togolese ex-international guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alderson-Broaddus, WV). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Others Sign Basketball Pact - 11 months ago
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Benin Republic, Togo, Niger and Burkina Faso on a regional development of basketball. Samen Mash'had (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old Togolese ex-international guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alderson-Broaddus, WV). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Williams played recently at Al Karkh in Iraqi Superleague. Part of last season he spent at Al Ahli (Premier League) in Saudi Arabia.
