National basketball league side Patriots have signed Tanzanian Henry Mwinuka as the club's new head coach on a one-year contract, replacing Cyrille Kalima , who resigned last week. Mwinuka, who has been the club's assistant coach since last season, confirmed the development. Mwinuka was the coach of the University of Dar es Salaam Basketball Club from 2003-2006 and Savio Basketball Club in 2007-2008. He was also assistant coach of the Tanzania national team between 2009 and 2010 as well as head coach Kampala International University from 2011-2015, before joining Patriots as assistant coach in May this year, whom he helped to a second place finish in their debut season in the league.
